Public Consultation of MRT Phase 2 Construction will Be Started Tomorrow

Jakarta Provincial Government will hold public consultation regarding to Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Phase 2's entrance and cooling tower ventilation tower (CTVT) construction for Bundaran HI-Kota route. Consultation will be held for property owners in West Jakarta area first.

Later its initiation will be done by West Jakarta and Central Jakarta Mayors

Jakarta Secretary's Assistant for Development and Environment, Gamal Sinurat said, public consultation is an advance stage after MRT phase 2 (Bundara HI-Kota route) definitive trace has been agreed. That 8.3 kilometers route passes West Jakarta and Central Jakarta areas. 

"So there is a possibility to start the MRT construction public consultation tomorrow. Because of entrance and CTVT placing, we need to cooperate with impacted property owners first," he said, Sunday (9/10).

He affirmed, building construction process will not conduct any land acquisition. Though, it needs to be discussed to find the best solution and cooperation since its placement is located in property owner's land.

"Its initiation will be done by West Jakarta and Central Jakarta Mayors. But, on Monday is for West Jakarta first," he closed.
